By accessing or using any PrepMate service, tool, or product, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before proceeding. If you do not agree, do not use our Services.

1. About PrepMate

PrepMate provides one-on-one interview coaching, career preparation services, and AI-powered tools for IT professionals in Australia. Our coaching sessions are delivered live via video call by experienced professionals. Our digital tools are available via our website at prepmate.online.

2. Services

PrepMate offers the following services:

Coaching sessions — live one-on-one video call sessions including Interview Clarity Session, Role-Specific Interview Prep, and Premium Interview & Career Strategy.
Digital products — including The IT Interview Playbook, delivered electronically upon purchase.
PrepMate Lite — a monthly subscription providing access to enhanced AI-powered tools including the Resume Scorer and Interview Practice Tool.
Free tools — including the free Resume Scorer and Interview Practice Tool, available with limited usage to non-subscribers.

Service inclusions, durations and pricing are outlined on the relevant product pages at the time of purchase. PrepMate reserves the right to update service inclusions, features or pricing at any time with reasonable notice.

3. Bookings

Upon purchase of a coaching session, you will receive confirmation and instructions to schedule your session. Sessions must be booked and completed within 90 days of purchase. Unused sessions after 90 days are forfeited without refund unless otherwise agreed in writing.

4. Rescheduling and Cancellations

You may reschedule your session at no cost if you provide at least 24 hours notice before the scheduled start time. Rescheduling requests made with less than 24 hours notice may be forfeited at PrepMate's discretion. PrepMate reserves the right to reschedule sessions in exceptional circumstances and will provide as much notice as possible.

5. PrepMate Lite Subscription

PrepMate Lite is a monthly subscription billed at $7 AUD per month. By subscribing you agree to the following:

Your subscription will automatically renew each month until cancelled.
You may cancel at any time via your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will retain access until then.
No partial refunds are provided for unused days in a billing period.
PrepMate reserves the right to modify the features included in PrepMate Lite with reasonable notice. Significant changes will be communicated via email.
Access to Lite features is contingent on your subscription remaining active. Access will be revoked upon cancellation or failed payment.
Resume scan allowances (5 per month) reset at the start of each billing cycle and do not carry over.

6. AI-Powered Tools

PrepMate's AI-powered tools (Resume Scorer and Interview Practice Tool) use third-party artificial intelligence technology provided by Anthropic to generate scores, feedback and interview questions. By using these tools you agree to the following:

Results generated by AI tools are for guidance purposes only and do not constitute professional career, legal or recruitment advice.
You confirm that any content you submit (including resume text, job descriptions and interview responses) is your own or that you have the right to share it.
PrepMate does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or suitability of AI-generated feedback for your specific circumstances.
Submitted content is processed by Anthropic solely to generate your results and is not stored permanently or used to train AI models.
Usage limits apply to free users (1 resume scan, 1 practice session) and Lite subscribers (5 resume scans per month, unlimited practice). PrepMate reserves the right to adjust these limits.

7. Digital Products

Digital products including The IT Interview Playbook are delivered electronically upon purchase. Due to the nature of digital products, all sales are final once the product has been accessed or downloaded. Please refer to our Refund Policy for full details.

8. Refunds

Please refer to our Refund Policy for full details on our satisfaction commitment and refund terms. We stand behind every session and will work with you to make it right if you are not satisfied.

9. Your Responsibilities

By using PrepMate's services you agree to:

Attend coaching sessions on time and prepared
Treat our coaches and staff with professionalism and respect
Not record, distribute, reproduce or commercialise any session content without prior written permission from PrepMate
Provide accurate information when creating an account or using our tools
Keep your account credentials secure and not share them with others
Not attempt to circumvent usage limits, access controls or subscription requirements through technical or other means
Not use our tools to submit content that is illegal, defamatory, fraudulent or that infringes the rights of others

10. Results Disclaimer

PrepMate provides coaching, preparation support and AI-powered tools to help you prepare for job interviews. We do not guarantee employment outcomes, interview success or salary outcomes. Results vary based on individual effort, experience, the specific role applied for, market conditions, and employer decisions that are entirely outside our control. Testimonials and success stories on our website reflect individual experiences and are not a guarantee of results.

11. Intellectual Property

All PrepMate content, frameworks, materials, tools, branding and session content are the intellectual property of PrepMate. You may not reproduce, share, sell or commercialise any PrepMate content without prior written consent. Your use of our tools does not transfer any intellectual property rights to you.

12. Account Termination

PrepMate reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Services at any time if you breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent or abusive behaviour, or for any other reason at our reasonable discretion. Where possible we will provide notice and an opportunity to remedy any breach before taking action.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian consumer law, PrepMate's liability for any claim arising from use of our Services is limited to the value of the specific service or product you purchased. PrepMate is not liable for any indirect, consequential, economic, or reputational loss arising from use of our services or tools, including reliance on AI-generated feedback. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.

14. Australian Consumer Law

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have services remedied if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

15. Privacy

We collect and handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). By using our Services you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy.

16. Changes to These Terms

PrepMate may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or by posting a notice on our website. Continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland, Australia.
